Pilot Class Guide for Horde Mode on Gears 5 - Arcane Kojak

Most Used Cards are - Cold Finish, The Hammer, Bleeding Mulcher, Aggressive Armor, Enforcer Expert

You have to get your Ultimate Cooldown Perk. Needs Weapon Locker. Build a level 2 Weapon Locker before you spend any energy on Perks (requires 10,000 energy to build a level 2 Weapons Locker, which is what you start out with on Frenzy). Stunning effect of The Hammer card (with Dropshot) towards all Enemies is tremendous because even if you don't kill them, it stuns and leaves them helpless (double damage for Dropshot and 3 second stun I think at rank 6?) for your team to burn them down.

Damage Output - A+ Tier - The DropShot (with the Hammer card) smashes ground enemies and bosses. The Enforcer (105% extra damage at rank 6 Enforcer Expert) does good damage against flyers and single targets. The Bleeding Mulcher melts the Flying Type Bosses easily, can put out tremendous damage vs any kind of boss but struggles with the Matriarch due to mobility of the suit. However, the Enforcer does well hitting her weakpoint and Cold Finish works on all bosses to freeze them (including the Matriarch).

Self-Defense - Pilot suit is very tanky except against freezing damage, the suit can eat a couple of Boomshots from Boomshot scions (which normally wipe a group out). Have to use obstacles as line-of-sight cover to prevent having Pilot suit taken out when freezing modifiers are on. When out of the suit, Aggressive Armor regenerates you and gives you a lot of stim if you are at full health. It's 6% at rank six per bullet and with the rate of fire from the enforcer, you can keep yourself fully stimmed constantly.

Last but not least, you can use a Tri-Shot or Mulcher to play almost as if you were using the Gunner class. No, you don't have ammo regeneration for heavy weapons. However, with the Aggressive Armor card, you are constantly regenerating your health as you do damage to enemies and you can swap weapons using your Weapons Locker, relying on your Pilot suit to save the team when a few Boomshot Scions are rolling in, which would normally wipe out the entire team.

Though you won't quite have the same damage output as a Gunner playing this way, you won't be helpless if you get knocked away from your heavy weapon, because you still have the DropShot to take out groups of enemies (and stun them with the Hammer card if they don't die) as well as your Enforcer submachine gun.

Three different classes in One. In the suit, you can murder swaths of enemies very quickly but out of the suit, you have to play cover to cover. Out of the suit, you can either play tactically and take out groups of enemies with the DropShot. Single enemies, use the Enforcer submachine gun to burn them down while regenerating your health/stim yourself. Or, you can play as a "psuedo Gunner" while out of your suit with good damage and survivability.
